USED vs LOVED

While a man was polishing his new car, his 4 yr old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the side of the car.

In anger, the man took the child's hand and hit it many times not realizing he was using a wrench.

At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures.

When the child saw his father with painful eyeshe asked, 'Dad when will my fingers grow back?'

The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times.

Devastated by his own actions. sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written 'LOVE YOU DAD'.

The next day that man committed suicide. . .

Anger and Love have no limits; choose the latter to have a beautiful, lovely life & remember this:

Things are to be used and people are to be loved.

The problem in today's world is that people are used while things are loved.

Let's try always to keep this thought in mind:

Roland Emmerich was at his best, again.

If you guys haven't watch it yet, better do it now because the movie is worth every penny or ringgit or dollar or whatever for it. Talking about disasters movie, Roland Emmerich is a master in his own class. From "Independence Day", to "Godzilla", to "The Day After Tomorrow", to the now "2012" box office. This time, Emmerich wow his audience with gigantic spoof of the entire disaster genre, surprisingly it is pretty entertaining.

It seems that most of the 200million budget (from what i see from the paper) went into making some of the best destruction epic ever created. Emmerich feed the audience with 2 3/4 hour of utterly jaw dropping visual effects. We get to see millions upon millions of citizens engulfed by Everest high tidal waves, struck by debris or toasted in pits of molten lava. With DJ Charlie the joker and Yuri Karpov, its comedy gold! Sorry for the spoiler.

With a runtime of 2 3/4 hours, Emmerich did loop the same sequences over and over again. First of all, there's the usual "the-sky-is-falling-so-hurry-and-take-off" scene. Then there's the "I-just-called-to-say-I-love-you" scene. Honestly, once is touching, but it is hard to repeatedly shed a tear when every single human in the film makes this same phone call. This is one let down of the whole epic.

Despite this, 2012 is a action packed extravaganza that definitely leave people talking. 2012 hands down the best disaster movie of the year, at least i think it is.

I rate it 4.5 / 5 .

and yet i tend to forget these simple rules.

It all starts when 36 human beings gathered up together for something big.
and it ended with something much much more bigger.

Yes, exactly like what my partner Wai Kit says in his note.

There are ups and downs during the whole journey.

Remember once my best friend told me that,
If you can't make it a legend, don't even bother starting it.

Remember once my ex-exec Shu Mei told me that,
No matter what are the circumstances, don't ever give up.

This is what i always believe in.
This is why i always tell Wai Kit that "要搞就要搞大它(PTUM)"
This is what encouraged me to keep trying eventhough the chances are slim.
This is what encouraged me to push on when i was at the brink of breaking down.

Despite all the doubts,
Despite all the obstacles,
Despite all the hardships,

This is specially for my AJKs,

Talking about how you all sacrificed your time, your energy.

Not to mentioned staying up until 5am in the morning,
Not to mentioned standing alone in the dark for hours,
Not to mentioned traveling all over UM for roadshows and handbills,

etc etc etc etc . .

We are really proud of you and we are lucky to have you from the beginning.
